Philippians is a short but beautiful letter found in the New Testament. This letter was written by Paul while he was imprisoned for preaching the gospel to a church in a Greek city called Philippi. Paul is writing to the Philippians to thank them and to encourage them. Even though Paul writes this letter from prison, many times throughout this letter he speaks of joy. It is a very positive letter to show us how to persevere in difficult circumstances with a Christlike attitude.
