ECCO Kids

Our mission in ECCO is to share the light, life, and love of Christ with the children and families we serve. We strive to form meaningful relationships with kids from 6 weeks old to 5th grade. We study God’s Word, pray, and praise our Creator together.

As your child grows in a Christ-centered community, we hope to equip them to build an authentic relationship with the Lord individually, as well as go out and model, lead, and share the Good News as salt and light.

We meet during all weekend services.

If you’ve never been to ECCO before, we would love to have you!

Nursery

Snugglers, Crawlers, & Walkers

ECCO Nursery creates a safe and fun environment for babies to grow in God’s love.

ECCO Preschool provides a safe environment for each child to grow their relationship with Jesus. We have a time of worship, brief lesson, and fun activity options every week!

Elementary

K – 5th Grade

ECCO Elementary focuses on worship, teaching children the Gospel, and small group time. We are a highly relational ministry and want every child to know they are loved by God and have community.

Frequently Asked Questions

ECCO stands for Experience Community Children’s Outreach.

ECCO includes Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary aged children. (From 6 weeks old to 5th grade)

During service, there are various areas where children go depending on their age. (This may vary between campuses.) Children 6 weeks–2 years old will be cared for in our nursery. Kids 3–5 years old will go to classrooms in our preschool area. Students in kindergarten–5th grade will be in the elementary area. Once your child is checked in, ask a team member or volunteer to show you where to take them if you are unsure.

*At our Shelbyville Campus, kids 2-5 years old go to classrooms in the preschool area.

Our curriculum comes from The Gospel Project. Each student who attends ECCO Kids starting at age 3 will go through the entire Bible three times before entering our middle school ministry.

Our check-in desk for new families is at the entrance to the ECCO area. We have a check-in team that will greet you, walk you through the registration process, and guide you to your child’s class. You will also receive a family connection card so we can learn more about your family. Once the card is completed and submitted to our check-in team, your child/children may redeem the connection card for a prize!

Volunteers are screened before being allowed in classrooms and attend teacher training each year. We do not require teachers to have prior experience, just a love for Christ and kids. All volunteers have passed a background check and vetting process. For peace of mind, accountability, and safety, there are security cameras in every classroom and area where there are minors.

Drop off for ECCO Kids begins 20 minutes prior to each service time. Returning families can check in at any of our iPad stations.

Your child’s comfort and safety are top priorities for our team. Feel free to drop off late or pick your child up early, until you and they feel comfortable staying an entire service.

With each child that wants to get baptized, we have a video that you and your child will go through together! We also have an awesome baptism booklet that we encourage parents to discuss with their child before meeting with a team member. To get this information, fill out the link below in the Baptism section of this page.

Nursing Mother’s Room

We are excited to offer a Nursing Mothers’ Room during each service!

We know it can be exciting and challenging to bring your newest little ones with you to church and we want to help make that as comfortable and feasible as possible!

It is our goal to provide our nursing mothers with a private, comfortable space where they can watch a livestream of the service and still take care of their little ones.

The Nursing Mothers’ Room is located in/near the Nursery. If you have any questions or need help finding the Nursing Mothers’ Room, please visit us at the Connections Corner and we will be happy to help you!

Baptism

If your child is interested in getting baptized, please fill out the Baptism Interest Form below! We look forward to helping them take this step of obedience in their walk with Jesus.
