WednesdayS | 7:00 P.M.

Encounter is a community of 9th-12th grade students focused on our church vision of Authentic Worship, Authentic Community, and Authentic Community Service. Our Wednesday night services include worshipping God through music, in-depth Bible teaching, and Life Group time to help dive deeper into God’s Word and build genuine relationships. We believe every student should have a place to be known and belong. At Encounter, each person is a part of the family because we know that all of us are uniquely loved by the God who created us.

Students can take an active role in leading Encounter, so it's truly a ministry by students, for students. We’re also a little goofy, and we like to #keepencounterweird, so we hope that’s ok with you. Throughout the year we also have special trips and events designed just for high school students to give you even more ways to grow in your faith and build relationships with other students and leaders. Our leaders live a life above reproach and are screened and vetted for the safety of our students (background checks are required for all volunteers).

We want to engage, equip, and empower high school students so that you can turn your world upside down for Jesus!

We have Life Group time during all of our Wednesday night Encounter services. These groups are organized by grade and gender and each one is intentionally small so that students feel comfortable sharing and building relationships.  Each Life Group is led by at least two adult leaders whose role is to guide conversation and foster community in the group. Our leaders strive to be trusted adults who partner with parents and earn the right to speak God's truth into the lives of students. Life Groups also get together to hang out and have fun outside of Encounter.

We believe that students have the potential to be great leaders if they step up to the challenge and are given ownership! This team is a place for high schoolers to serve and have a voice in Encounter and to learn how to impact their church and the world around them.

Current Series:

The world is constantly telling us to define ourselves. We are defined by the family we were born into, the things that have happened to us, or the things we have done. But the God who created us doesn't define us by those things. During this series, we'll dive into these common struggles we all face to learn how to define ourselves the way God sees us.
