ECC MISSIONS

Some of the last words Jesus said before He ascended are what we call the Great Commission: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19–20).

In Acts, we see Jesus say something similar: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

We take these words of Jesus very seriously. The phrases “make disciples of all nations” and “you will be my witnesses…in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” imply the need for a global mindset in the Church’s pursuit of making disciples. Missions is a pursuit born of discipleship and is part of our growth as individual followers of Jesus.

This is why we are blessed to spread the good news of Jesus, not only in our local and national communities but also in communities around the world. We partner with churches in the northeastern part of our country, in places like Delaware, New York, and Massachusetts. We partner globally with churches and organizations that support churches, like Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church in Egypt, Eastern European Mission, and King’s Castle in El Salvador.

Your Community

Jesus calls us to love our neighbors, and one way we do that is by supporting local nonprofits that are already making an impact in our community. By partnering with these organizations, we help meet needs right where we are and build connections that lead others to Christ. To learn more about our nonprofit partners, click the button below.

Your Nation

Our mission is not to grow our church but to grow the Kingdom of God. To live out that mission, we partner with churches in New England and support their work in one of the most unchurched regions of our country. Our nation needs the light of Christ, and these churches are sharing it. Click the button below for more information.

Your World

Christ commands us to make disciples of all nations, and we do that through short-term mission trips and long-term sponsorship. We send teams to places like Egypt and El Salvador, and we support missionaries worldwide. Through our international partnerships, we help the gospel reach the ends of the earth. Ways to Get Involved with Missions

We believe that obeying Jesus’ command to go and make disciples of all nations is a critical part of building the Kingdom of God, whether it is in our local community or around the world. There are three ways you cn get involved:

Commit to Prayer

Prayer is the best way to support all mission work. Pray for provision, protection, and for people to receive Jesus with open arms. This is a team effort, and we are so grateful for all prayers for those spreading and hearing the gospel.

Give Financially

Financial giving allows us to further the work of the gospel. There are opportunities throughout the year to donate to mission teams or missionaries we support on the ground. We appreciate all of the ways the generous people in our congregation continue to support missions and are excited to see His name exalted all over the world.

Join Us on a Mission Trip

If you are able to join us on a mission trip and feel led to do so, we would love to have you get involved. We will have opportunities to share the gospel throughout the year at several locations in the states and overseas. If you would like to join us on a future trip, please fill out the application below.

Mission Trips

El Salvador

For over a decade, ECC has partnered with King’s Castle Evangelism Teams to spread the gospel to children in schools and churches in rural areas of El Salvador. King’s Castle is committed to sharing the simple message that “Jesus saves and is coming soon” with all 2.3 million children in the country. Through evangelism and discipleship, King’s Castle raises up young, Spirit-filled Believers. Our teams support their work by performing skits, building relationships in the community, and assisting with outreach.

Egypt

Since 2023, our church has supported the Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church (KDEC) and the work they do to help Sudanese refugees in Cairo, Egypt. KDEC was founded in 1940 and is now the largest evangelical church in the Arab world. Because of their radical outreach, churches from all over the Middle East and Africa look to them for resources, encouragement, and guidance. Our teams assist KDEC with their ministry and create opportunities for displaced people to find faith in Jesus.

Guatemala

ECC also partners with Land of Hope, an organization that serves the community surrounding the municipal landfill in Escuintla, Guatemala. Land of Hope offers aid for the mind, body, and soul through nutrition programs, healthcare, education initiatives, counseling, and Bible studies. Their vision is to restore lives, families, and communities through Jesus. By teaching trade skills, providing basic medical care, and sharing the gospel in surrounding villages, we support Land of Hope as they shine a light in a dark place.
