Second Corinthians | Shelbyville

2 Corinthians is the second of two letters found in the New Testament that Paul the Apostle wrote to the church in Corinth. Paul’s main purposes for writing this letter were to encourage the people, especially those who had been disciplined for wrongdoing, and to provide a defense for his ministry as an apostle. Because of that, this letter is very personal, with Paul sharing from his heart to connect to the hearts of the people. It also talks a lot about the importance of the Gospel and the work of the Spirit in followers of Jesus. Throughout this sermon series, we will see the heart of a shepherd on display for the ones God has given him to care for, and learn a lot about how God equips each one of us to be ministers for Christ, through the power of the Gospel and work of the Holy Spirit.
