Prayer at The Experience

At The Experience, we believe part of being an authentic follower of Jesus is having a personal commitment to communicate with God through prayer. Prayer is an essential part of a walk with Jesus and is vital to us as Believers. Through prayer, we keep the focus on God and His will for our lives, and we intentionally build a closer relationship with Him.

We encourage all Christ followers to build their relationship with God through prayer. Prayer is the main way we communicate with God and it allows us to get to know Him deeply, reach out to Him for help, trust our minds and hearts to Him, and truly seek His presence. Prayer allows us to commune and connect with the Holy Spirit and can totally change our lives.

Prayer is relational, first and foremost—building our relationship with God. Yet there is so much more. Through prayer, God comforts us, guides us, strengthens us, puts us at peace, and gives us wisdom. Through prayer we can intercede for others and partner with God in learning and doing His will on earth. A commitment to prayer gives purpose, power, and peace to our lives.

To learn more about prayer, check out these verses: Matthew 6:5–14; 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18; Romans 12:11-12; and Philippians 4:6–7.

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team oversees praying for our congregation every week. They gather in groups during the week to pray for requests received online or through Connection Cards. They also pray for our team and community. Prayer Team members are available during weekend services to pray with congregants at the end of every service.

Prayer Requests

How can we pray for you? If you have a prayer request you would like to share, please fill out the form below. Our Prayer Team would be honored to pray for you.

Prayer Nights

Prayer Nights give us an opportunity to gather and call out to God as a unified body of Believers. We bring our praises and petitions before Him to acknowledge who He is and how desperately we need Him. We also pray for our city, our nation, and our world because He is in control of them all.

Once a year, we host Prayer Nights at our church. These nights are a special opportunity for us to come together as a church community and seek God. When we intentionally gather as a community and set our minds on Christ, we believe God will meet us there. We hope you will join us as we cry out to the Lord in prayer together.

Prayer Groups

Our prayer groups meet throughout the week at every campus to pray for the needs of our community, church, and congregation. We would love for you to join us! To get involved, fill out your campus’ form below (if available) or contact us with your questions.

Annual 40 Day Fast

Every year, we encourage our congregation to participate in a 40-day fast. Prayer and fasting is a great way to give up something good to draw closer to God. During the fast, our team designs a devotional booklet to accompany us as we journey through the 40 days. These devotionals are helpful to refocus our attention on the beauty and goodness of God.
