Experience Recovery

Experience Recovery exists for people who, because of their habitual debilitating sin, are not able to fully integrate into the life of the local church. We believe God has designed the local church to be the normal way people come to love Him and love people. We also know that some people, in their struggle to love God and others in the way they should, are unable to fully participate in that local church because of substance or non-substance abuse issues. If those issues are preventing you from being a part of the church, we want to provide a space where you can find healing and restoration through Jesus, and then be sent out to bring the good news of Jesus to other people as well. We call that space Experience Recovery, and for more information, please check out the details below.

Experience Recovery launches on September 11th. For more information, click the button below!

On a typical night, we’ll open with prayer and a lesson before breaking into gender and issue-specific discussion groups to talk about applying the principles of that lesson. Occasionally, we’ll have worship and a testimony before breaking into those same groups for a time of structured sharing.

On your first time coming to Experience Recovery, instead of going to a discussion group you’ll go to our first-timers “intake” group. There we’ll talk more about what Experience Recovery is, what it isn’t, and who it’s for. As we mentioned above, our goal for you is to fully integrate into the life of the local church. If your struggles would not prevent you from doing that, we’ll help you the best way we can: by directing you to those ministries. If your struggles prevent you from doing that, we’ll direct you to the appropriate discussion group for future meetings.
