Our mission at Emerge is to ensure that every child with special needs has an opportunity to hear the gospel at their level and feel the love of Christ.
Children with special needs are loved and welcomed here! While attending an ECC campus, the inclusive nature of the environment is obvious. Sensory rooms and resources are used every weekend, and at times throughout the week, as a safe space for children to regulate their sensory needs. Careful thought has allowed each child the opportunity to have a one-on-one buddy with them so they are comfortable, and they have a specialized lesson plan so they can learn about Jesus at their level. At the heart of the Emerge ministry is a love of all people and a desire to show them the love of Jesus in a way that makes sense to them.
If you have a heart for the special needs community and are willing to learn and be gracious while sharing the love of Jesus, Emerge is an excellent place for you to serve! From helping with the lessons to being a one-on-one buddy each weekend, Emerge volunteers help the special needs community grow in their faith.
“Jesus,… invited them: ‘Let the little children come to me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these’” (Luke 18:16).
