“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” — (Proverbs 22:6, NIV)
Every child deserves to be in a healthy and loving family. No other environment is more effective at meeting a child’s emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
Through our CarePortal ministry, we stand in the gap to help families in crisis. Many families face preventable crises that put their children at risk of being removed from the home. Our goal is to help kids by empowering caring people to meet the needs of families in crisis. By responding with practical support, we can help keep loving families together.
But this ministry is about more than just meeting material needs. It is an opportunity to share the love of Christ—to pray with families, build meaningful relationships, and invite them into a caring community of faith.
CarePortal volunteers serve in two ways:
- Responders: Provide immediate, tangible resources—like beds, clothing, or groceries—for families in crisis, along with prayer and encouragement.
- Connectors: Go beyond the initial response to build lasting relationships. By meeting with families face-to-face, they demonstrate Christ’s love and offer connection to a supportive church community.
Together, we can be the hands and feet of Jesus to vulnerable children and families—bringing hope, restoring dignity, and changing lives.
