Reclaimed Jail Ministry | Murfreesboro

YOUR CHURCH

Sometimes, poor decisions and horrible mistakes have led men, women, and juveniles to serve time in jail or detention centers. But if we are honest, none of us are perfect—we have all messed up—and God often chooses broken people with sketchy pasts to make a huge difference in the world. So why should we give up on those who have been incarcerated?

The mission of Reclaimed Jail Ministry is to lead currently and formerly incarcerated people into saving relationships with Christ while rehabilitating them back into society. Our vision is to create environments inside and outside the jails and detention center that will lead people into discipling relationships through Life Groups and life coaching.

We do this by leading Bible studies inside 940 and the Workhouse, as well as by helping inmates stay in Life Groups after they leave jail, mentoring them, and plugging them in to communities that will love and support them without encouraging the behaviors that sent them to jail in the first place.

Reclaimed Teen goes to the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention center once per week to meet with the teenagers there and talk with them about biblical ways to handle issues like anger, abuse, and forgiveness.

Reclaimed Jail Ministry and Reclaimed Teen love and support inmates and juvenile offenders by leading them to follow Christ. If you have a desire to help others during hard times and build lasting relationships through sharing the Word of God, then this ministry would be a great way for you to serve.
