Intro to Life Groups

Are you interested in connecting with a Life Group at our Murfreesboro Campus? We invite you to attend an upcoming Intro to Life Groups meeting! At this meeting, you will learn about ECC’s vision for Life Groups, have an opportunity to meet and greet with Life Group leaders who are in attendance, and also receive a list of open groups. We aim to simply cast the vision for Life Groups and get you plugged in. Select the link below to see upcoming meeting dates and sign up to attend.

May Life Group Launch

You are invited to register and become a member of one of the upcoming Life Groups launching the first week of May! Take a moment to review the bios and choose the group that aligns best with your needs. We kindly ask that you commit to regular attendance when signing up. As slots are limited, we aim to fill them with individuals prioritizing a consistent community.

Group One

Jeremy & Katie Fitch (Co-Ed)

  • Mondays at 6:30 PM
  • Begins May 4th
  • Meets at their home in North Murfreesboro
  • Allergies: Dog Present
  • Children Welcome (Must be Registered)

Jeremy and Katie are originally from Illinois. They joined ECC six months ago and are excited to get more involved. Though they’ve known each other forever, they didn’t start dating until their late 30s and have now been married for five years. Their blended family includes Katie’s son, Jackson, a 17‑year‑old high school junior. After years of serving behind the scenes, they feel God prompting them to step out and lead a life group. They’re eager to open their home, connect with other believers, and build a supportive mid‑week community. Fun fact: Jeremy has spent 15 years as an independent pro‑wrestler, and Katie has a bifid uvula.

Group Two

TIM SHOPE
(Men’s)

  • Tuesdays at 6:30 AM
  • Begins May 5th
  • Meets in a coffee shop in West Murfreesboro
  • No Childcare

Tim grew up in Lebanon, Ohio, and has been part of ECC for seven years. He and his wife, Courtney, have been married for 10 years and are raising three boys, twin 3‑year‑olds and a newborn, with plans to adopt in the future. Though naturally introverted, Tim has learned that the Christian life can’t be lived alone. Community has helped him grow, stay grounded, and experience God through others, which is why he’s passionate about serving. He’s excited to learn people’s stories and grow together as a group. Fun fact: Tim played club rugby in college, something most people wouldn’t guess at first glance.

Group Three

Jonathan & Emmie McCrary (Co-Ed)

  • Tuesdays at 6:00 PM
  • Begins May 5th
  • Meets at their home in Beechgrove
  • Children Welcome (Must be Registered)

Emmie grew up in Kentucky, and Jonathan has lived here his whole life. They’ve been part of ECC for just over a decade. Married sixteen years, they have three boys aged six through twelve. They love serving in the community because studying and serving with others strengthens their walk with the Lord. They look forward to building new relationships and diving into Scripture together. Fun fact: they were high school sweethearts who loved swing dancing.

Group Four

John Parsells (Men’s)

  • Wednesdays at 6:30 PM
  • Begins May 6th
  • Meets in his home in South Murfreesboro
  • No Childcare
  • Allergies: Dog Present

John grew up in Pine Bush, New York, and joined ECC about two years ago. He and his wife, Karli, live in southern Murfreesboro with their dog, Mochi “Mo,” while the rest of their family is spread across New York and Washington state. John is passionate about serving because Jesus radically changed his life, and he wants to share that same love through community. He’s especially excited to connect with other Christian men and build meaningful relationships. Fun fact: he’s been to 14 national parks and is determined to visit all 63. He’s also a big fan of engineering, aviation, and hitting the gym.

Group Five

Davonte & Courtney Harris (Co-Ed)

  • Thursdays at 6:30 PM
  • Begins May 7th
  • Meets at their home NW Murfreesboro
  • Children Welcome (Must be Registered)
  • Allergies: Dog Present

Davonte and Courtni are Tennessee natives who’ve been at ECC for eight years. Married for five years and raising twin toddlers, they know firsthand how important community is. After walking through their own trials, they’ve seen how God uses people to lift each other up, and they’re excited to help create that same support for others. They’re looking forward to growing with their group and building real relationships. Fun fact: they were one of the last couples to get married in the ECC chapel.
