3 Ways to Strengthen Your Prayer Life
Do you want a stronger prayer life?
“You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:12–13, CSB).
Praying constantly helps us feel God’s presence in our lives. If you are new to prayer, are struggling to stay consistent, or need fresh encouragement to keep at it, we want to help. Conversation with God is an amazing part of the Christian life and is worth making into a habit.
“Engage in conversation with God about anything and everything as often as possible.”
So how do we build that constant habit? Here are three things that will help.
1: Come as You Are – It doesn’t need to sound fancy. Come as you are and keep seeking Him – He wants to talk with you.
2: Converse Constantly – Engage in conversation with God about anything and everything as often as possible. Let it be all throughout your day in the small things as well as the big things. To think we have to quit talking to God to deal with the world around us is backward. We need to keep talking to God more and more in order to deal with the world around us.
3: Commune – Pray with someone on a regular basis, whether daily or weekly. Meet with another person once a week, each day via the phone, or whatever works for your schedule. Having someone to pray with is biblical and having an accountability partner helps us stick to our plans.
Remember, this is a conversation between you and God; it allows your friendship with him to grow. Take your time and be honest with Him.
If you feel led to use your prayer time to serve the Body of Christ and the community around us, we have ways for you to get involved in doing that at the Experience Community Church.
