Evident is an all-inclusive community of college-aged students and young adults seeking to create authentic followers of Jesus Christ. We foster a safe environment in which darkness is brought to light so that students and adults are challenged to live in the truth and freedom provided by Christ through salvation.

We walk alongside one another on our faith journeys by meeting people where they are and cultivating a community of authenticity, vulnerability, and presence. Students and adults are equipped and prepared to advance the Gospel through weekly gatherings of worship and teaching, and further filled through life groups designed to help students and adults navigate the challenges of life.

Adult leaders (25 years or older) serve on Thursday nights to help make authentic followers of Jesus Christ. More importantly, they are people who are choosing to invest in the lives of college-aged people. Adult leaders connect with the students and begin the process of discipleship. Our mission to make authentic followers of Jesus starts with one conversation at a time and one relationship at a time. Adult leaders are strong Christian examples and available for the college-aged individual who may need guidance in life when it comes to trying to figure out finance, career, relationship with people, and most importantly a relationship with Christ.

Student leaders are a big part of what we do at Evident. Student leaders are college-aged people who desire to take their faith to a deeper level by giving their time and gifts to serve their peers. Student leaders also serve on Thursday nights and help make authentic followers of Jesus Christ.

Many Christians in the North American church have become increasingly uncertain of their faith. The constant pressures from the secular world can eat away at the foundations of a weak faith. When confronted with questions about faith and worldly ideas, nominal church members will abandon their faith or trade it in for the latest craze. In Paul’s language, they return to the dominion of darkness. When Christians do not understand their faith, they are likely to water down the gospel and accommodate it to cultural expectations. Paul’s letter to the Colossians is a great reminder for us today as he writes about the truth of the Gospel in hopes to give us a firm foundation to not be lead astray by false teachings.
