COVID-19

COVID-19 UPDATE | 16 MARCH 2020

For the past several days, our leadership team has spent time discussing, praying and gathering information related to how the Experience should respond to the concerns related to the COVID-19 situation. Given the most recent update from the CDC, we’ve made the decision to have all services at all of our campuses in an online format only (with no physical gatherings at any of our campuses). We’ve made this decision in order to hopefully help stop and diminish the risk of increased infection.

It’s our strong conviction that the Church of Jesus is not a building, but a family of brothers and sisters unified by the blood of Christ. While we might not all be gathering together physically in buildings, we will still be coming together. We want to encourage those in our church to have “home church” with their families, close friends or neighbors as they gather together in homes to watch the livestream of any of our services and share time together in worship, prayer and communion. Our team is working on preparing home kits to help you facilitate a worship gathering at your home and with your kids. When they’re prepared we will post an update and you can come by our Murfreesboro or Cannon County campus and pick some up for your home church gathering. The livestream will be available on our website and our facebook pages, and we encourage everyone to follow along with the sermon notes via the ECC App.

We also want to call our church family into a season of fasting and prayer. God promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14 to “heal the land” if the people of God would humble themselves, turn from sin, and seek His face through prayer. To that end, our sanctuary at the Murfreesboro campus will be open 24 hours a day for prayer, and as a church we want to be praying around the clock for our community, nation, and world. If you would like to commit for an hour time slot to pray in our sanctuary or at your home, please click the following link to sign-up (limited to 10 people).

We are called to be a calming and an active force in the community around us. We need to be praying, we need to be seeking Jesus. We need to be the salt and light that Jesus has asked us to be in the book of Matthew.  It's a confusing time right now. There's a lot going on and we're gonna be playing this out day by day & week by week and just praying that God shows us what the next steps are.

If you need anything, please contact our church. We love you and we're praying for our community. God bless.
